PROJECT OWNED VEHICLES
We have a range of vehicles from Buses to Sedans. The buses are modified to carry major mobility aids such as wheel chairs and walking frames. We also use taxis quite extensively to compliment the services provided by our drivers including after hours.

USE OF TAXIS
We have two booking methods for the use of taxis – those ordered through our offices and those that are rung directly by passengers on the Taxi Voucher Scheme. The taxi voucher scheme allows for flexible out of hours service provision. We use taxis quite extensively to compliment the services provided by our own drivers.
VOLUNTEER CAR POOL
We have a small volunteer car pool. Our volunteers use their own cars to help our passengers get out and about
The Shirley Shuttle is a service offered in collaboration between Community Transport, Cancer Council of NSW and Central Coast Local Health District. The service is overseen by the Transport Action Group which includes the organisations above as well as Transport for NSW, Cancer Voices and other service providers. It began with the generous donation of a vehicle by Barb Galvin in memory of her mother, Shirley and provides access to oncology treatment for cancer sufferers who are driven by volunteers
From time to time we broker transport services from other organisations such as Nursing Services.
BUS SHARING SCHEME
When we’re not using our vehicles for our own services, they are available for the use of “Transport Disadvantaged” community organisations through our Bus Sharing Scheme. Costs and guidelines are available on application. Groups must have their own public liability insurance and their volunteer drivers need to fill out an application to be a driver and go for a driving test to show how they handle the vehicles. I’m sorry – we do not lend out buses to individuals.
